Information Sharing

Under the Forest and Range Practices Act, Westbank First Nation (WFN) and Ntityix Resources are required to share information with other First Nations and stake holders regarding proposed harvesting and road building activities, including the general locations of these activities. This requirement is met by publishing the information in the WFN newsletter, posting to our website and notifying relevant parties by email of active Forest Operations Maps.

  • Information is shared with the following First Nations and First Nation organizations:

    • Okanagan Nation Alliance

    • Penticton Indian Band

    • Lower Similkameen Indian Band

    • Upper Nicola Band

    • Okanagan Indian Band

    • Esh-kn-em

  • Harvesting and road building information is also shared with:

    • Local municipalities

    • Known recreation groups

    • Licensed trappers

    • Licensed guide outfitters

    • Range tenure holders
